Details: For sale is my 1996 eagle talon tsi awd turbo I recently picked the car up as a project with the intention of making it my sisters daily driver but she has decided to go with another car and I would like to pay off my fiance s engagement ring so that is why it is for sale. The gentlemen i picked the car up from told me everything he knew about what happend and so far he had been honest with me as i have ripped it apart so heres the story behind everything. The car overheated and blew a head gasket. He had every intetion of fixing it just had to many toys and decided to invest in his other eclipse instead. Thus how i ended up with it. So i did all the work and have the reciepts of the machine shop as well as all the parts ive put into it. So heres a list of whats new ( a note to add, when the car overheated, the oil and coolant never mixed, he was simply burning it out the tail pipe, so the rod bearings and main bearings always had oil on them and no harmful coolant mixing around ) The oil was black and looked/smell like oil should after being in a car for 3k miles Miles are 113,700Head was resurfaced and the middle pistons (2 and 3 ) exhaust valves were re seated I purchased new valve stem seals as well as two new cam gear seals and had them installed while he had everything ripped apartnew felpro head studsnew timing belt ( guy said he just got done putting a timing belt and all timing componets on the car ) i bought a new belt because i crimped the other one getting the head off by accident ) new water pumpnew plugsnew intake gasket new battery new valve cover gasket and spark plug hole gasketsnew lower injector sealsfresh oil change new rear pads Heres a list of the mods that are on the car.Stock t25 turbo with 15k miles on it, the one that came on the car was the original and after 113k miles there pretty shot, it had all stock boost controlers on it with no indications that anythings ever been tampered with so this car has not been over boosted cat back 2.5 inch exhaust pipe, cat is 2.5 inch high flow as well, cold air intake coneexedy stage one organic clutch and pressure plate ( i dont think theres a lightweight flywheel in there because theres no chatter ) and it acts identical to my current eclipse with the same set up as the previous owner said was in there. It grips well and the clutch pedel feels firm. He said it had about 15k on it or sotransmission is in good condition, no grinds nor pop outs when driving, I think theres a short shifter on it, has a different throw then my eclipse but the previous owner never said anything about it suspension is stock ride height and rides like the shocks have been changed at least once Stock rims as wellAs for interior and exterior, the interior is in ok condition. The front seat has a few small rips in it. All leather and stock from the factory. the floor mats could use replacementas for the exterior, the previous owner decided to flat black the car. It was originally a black car ( as you can see from the door jams and under hood ) and the original paint is still under neather it. Might come off with a cutting cream and buff, which will be what i will be trying if the car comes home with me ( rochester NY ) in the spring. few small dentslittle to no rust, its in really good shape guys, even the shock tower area where these cars are famous for rusting at is clean. nothing underneath either Tires all pass nys inspection tread wise, the fronts have more tread then the rears ( all season tires )brakes look good on the front and ther rear are new The car runs and drives. I have yet to turn the title in nor do i have plates on the car so it is not legal to take out on the road. Ive taken it up to the local highschool once or twice to get it moving. With some bad luck i drove past a cop sitting at the highschool so this car is not leaving my drive way now sorry guys. Ive put some fresh gas in her and shes idleing great and runing well. you can put it in all the gears if youd like. I hate it when people lie to me so im telling the truth when i say the trannys in great condition. issues with the car:the flex joint on the exhaust ( down pipe ) seems to have a small leak in it, nothing to loudthe hatch needs new shock supports, and is missing the interior pannel for itother than that the car is soundI have done a compression test and a coolant pressure test as well. 160 across the board and she doesnt burn any oil at all. running conventional oil as of now but with that compression number and if your looking to put a bigger turbo in and do some tunning, shouldnt have any issues switching to synthetic. the coolant pressure test was just to confirm the head being good with no cracks or anything. put 18psi on it and everything held great from start to operating temperature. my cell is 585 303 8846 my name is kyleI do have text messaging but please lets have adult conversations.
