Details: First off, sorry for the novel, I am just a fan of full disclosure so you know exactly what the car is. It is really stressful to wonder if you got the whole story so I am giving you everything I know about it. They are awesome and fun cars. I will miss it when I sell it, but am ready to move on to something else. So first I will start with the history of the car as I understand it from the previous owner, Carfax, and a Mitsubishi dealer I made the previous owner take it to for an inspection before I bought it since I was purchasing out of state.I am the 3rd owner of the car. Car has a salvage title because it was stolen in Cali from the first owner and was reported by insurance as a total loss. Cali has different types of salvage titles, but here they don´t so it doesn´t translate over as a salvage-theft so it was just branded salvage in Idaho. Interior was basically stripped out when it was stolen, but the car was recovered after insurance had reported it as a total loss. I believe a dealer bought it at auction and replaced all the interior that was stolen with the exception of the carpet on the walls of the trunk. Trunk floor carpet is there, just no side carpet. Dealer sold it to the kid I bought it from. The kid I bought it from put the Evo IX wheels, MR headlights, diffuser on the roof and faux Evo VII taillight tint on there. He was in a very minor accident in a parking lot where a mustang t-boned him going like 5mph. Only damage was both passenger doors because the mustang hit right at the back of the front door and front of the rear door. Because of the unique body line on the doors the insurance company opted to just replace the doors with OEM mitsu doors. The kid had a decent amount of money so he didn´t want two doors that were really shiny compared to the rest of the car and had the entire car re-painted. Spent like $2k on that 4 months before I bought it. He also put a fiberglass oem style bumper on it that looks nice, but didn´t hold up to the weather and stuff here at all. Bumper is cracked in various places and I have been back and forth on replacing but decided to just drop the price a little bit. Lancershop has new bumpers for it that are OEM, since they don´t allow aftermarket versions of the oem in anything other than fiberglass. Their bumpers were probably around $350 to $400 and I priced painting around here for about $180. That pretty much covers the history of the car. I have run Mobile 1 Extended Performance 10w30 in it since I got it and changed it at the regular 3000 mile interval rather than at 15k which the oil can do. I also have redline oils in the drivetrain that I had done at Powerlabs here in town. Car has roughly 88k on the odometer. Most of the miles have been driving back and forth for work on the highway between Rexburg and Idaho Falls. Has new tint to get all the windows the same color and in quality non-fading tint. Currently have my wheels plasti-dipped satin black, but that can easily be peeled off if you want to go back to the stock silver color. The pictures below were before I swapped the rear emblem for a black one and blacked out the red mitsu logo on the back so that is a bit different as well. These pics were taken shortly after I got it before the front bumper got cracked. With all that being said this car is still really clean with the exception of the front bumper. Probably better than most you will find out there for more money than what I am asking.It books on NADA for about $17,050 clean retail, I generally ignored trade-in values as this is a private party deal, but with the salvage title and the bumper thing I was thinking about starting at $14,500 for it. Car has power but also gets great gas mileage and is very well maintained, no spared expenses in the fluids put into this car.
